Lucy Wilding sitting in with Riley Chester saw her first time at Melbourne on the Melbourne Junior Rally. Their aim was to just improve on what he had learned at Caerwent, build further confidence in his ability and have some more all important seat time. It was apparent early on the stages he had taken on board everything he had learned. Reported as not the easiest venue, especially for a new driver, it was very rough in places, gravelly and some extremely tight chicane. Setting consistent times throughout the day, the pair finished 8th out of 14 junior starters making it a 100% finish rate from his four starts, with the majority of those finishing ahead of him in their second year of rallying.
