Tavern Motor Club organised the Cotswold Historics Rally 2023 event, a round of the HRCR Clubmans Road Road Championship, based at Cirencester Rugby Football Club.
Ludlow Castle Motor Club Ltd were represented at the weekend by Malcolm Oxborrow and Ben Innes in their Rover 216. Starting from Cirencester the challenging route had six regularity sections and a number of speed tests on a mixture of tarmac and gravel surfaces. They had an enjoyable day finishing 42nd overall from a starting number of 54.
Simon Mellings and Karl Ellis also did the event starting at car 9 but unfortunately had a fuel problem which saw them have to change fuel filters and the fuel pump at halfway. This dropped them time on the regularity however they managed to finish 21st and 5th in class from 74 starters.
