Club stalwart and newly crowned pensioner Andrew Sankey was the only club member competing at the Armour Centre, Bovington. An extremely challenging and fast venue, the event comprising of 8 stages, attracted a full entry.
Sitting in with Neil Matthews in his Proton Satria Kit car seeded at 15, the pairing showed some pace at their first time at the venue, to be sitting 9th overall and 2nd in class after SS3.
Unfortunately the loss of the crank sensor trigger wheel from the bottom pulley on SS4 put paid to any further action for the day.
